Jim has over 25 years of experience in wetland and waterfowl management across North America. He was an early member of the Society of Wetland Scientists and has varied professional publications in waterfowl management and wetland ecology. In recent years he has coordinated logistics and conducted waterfowl banding operations in many portions of the continental U.S., Alaska, and Canada. He has also flown operational and exploratory aerial waterfowl surveys in Latin America, Mexico, the United States including Alaska, and across Canada. Jim currently serves as a natural resource remote sensing specialist and is responsible for implementing aerial remote sensing technologies for use in landscape and habitat mapping primarily of coastal ecosystems along the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean.
Jim also serves on the Executive Board of the International Association of Natural Resource Pilots (IANRP)
